Introduction
This work was created from a conscious focus on light, reflection and the moment, and was subsequently printed on high-quality eco-paper.
Author's thoughts:
With my head cut off and my arms raised high, I sit—she, you who see here, sits—before the mirror. Astonished, even frightened, deeply hurt, an inaudible cry escapes her—escapes me. “How do I look! What has happened to me? What has moved me, affected me, frightened me? Am I only unhappy because the mirror doesn't fully capture me? Should I try to position myself differently?”
Calmly and serenely, I look at myself now, I breathe deeply, calmly and ever more gently, I feel myself more and more. I relax. How I look in this moment doesn't matter. I feel myself and I am calm and gentle. This is good for me! What I think and thought, what others think about me, how they see me—I don't care about any of that now. I smile lovingly at myself and at you! If you smile back at me, that makes me happy! I am grateful to you for that!
