Author's thoughts:
I'm traveling in Portugal. My daughter drives so fast! My gaze falls only briefly on the church steeple and its reflection here under the blue southern sky. Here I am a guest! Here I am being shown around. Here my daughter knows everything better than I do. She also thinks she knows everything better than me. She knows many things better, and many things she knows, I don't. We can learn so much from each other! We can both learn not to have to know everything better, not to want to know everything better. We each have our own viewpoints, different perspectives. After all, no one sees the world in the same way. Let's exchange ideas! Let's understand each other! Let's complement each other! Let's enrich ourselves and each other! Let's thank God that we are who we are! We can learn all our lives if we are open to it!
