Author's thoughts:
The picture, as blue as the sky, shines out at me from the display case I inherited from my grandmother. Looking more closely, I find a painting of a very special kind:
It might be a village by the sea with a towering structure rising into the mountains. Water, land, and the sky above offer a pleasant environment for the inhabitants.
How beautiful the world is! How beautiful what I find within my own four walls. I don't travel the world to discover its beauty; it finds me. In my home, in the heart of our magnificent Vienna, the wonders reveal themselves to me!
