Introduction
This work was created from a conscious focus on light, reflection and the moment, and was subsequently printed on high-quality eco-paper.
Author's thoughts:
It looks like New York here, in my eyes. The bar high up on the top floor is lit like a movie set. Where am I?
Where is this place? What am I celebrating here? Or am I just looking around? Am I observing what's happening?
I've only been to New York once, many years ago. Decades have passed. I got a ticket to London from Conrad, which I exchanged after the terrible breakup. I want to get to know this new world. I have family in New York. I'm visiting friends. This trip is a tremendous adventure for me. I'm leaving my daughter with my brother Otto and my sister-in-law. Saying goodbye isn't easy. I'm afraid of flying. But when things get dangerous, when we can't land as planned, I remain completely calm.
I then experience exciting things in this gigantic, foreign city.
